There is a lot to enjoy here at the Chamcook Schoolhouse. See our Nigerian Dwarf Goats and Berkshire Pigs, walk around the property into the woods or down to Chamcook Harbour, have a picnic at our picnic spot. You can bring your kayak and your swim suit to use at the Harbour too if you like!
The Great Room
Twelve foot ceilings with post and beam and large windows everywhere. Plenty of natural light and beautiful views of the outside.
The front of the classroom now has huge patio doors out to a new cedar deck. Shows the world is your classroom, doesn’t it!
Woodstove
Granite stone like this has been found on this property. Our stonework very well could have been made from the stones right here but most people say the stone is from nearby St. George, historically named, Granite Town.
Undoubtedly, you will be cozy during a winter getaway in Chamcook! We heated this home all winter with wood. It truly is the best kind of heat.
Kitchen
Full kitchen. All the pots and pans, tea towels… whatever you need in a kitchen right down to the kitchen sink.
In our Guest Manual we have local Grocery store hours including Spice Box Comestibles so that you can find what you need to cook up something grand.
Dining Table
The dining area is part of the Great Room. Right beside the piano and the patio doors to the deck outside.
Master Bedroom
A King size bed and a balcony no less! And if you stand on your tippy toes you can see the Bay from up there!
Clean and bright in the day and dark and cozy at night – you’ll never believe the stars.
Second Bedroom Loft
Yes, you can sleep a family of 6 comfortably. You won’t have to sneak in an air mattress and furthermore your youngest doesn’t have to sleep on the floor!
There are 3 twin beds. The third is a daybed that is black has a trundle that can be pulled out turning the twin into a King. The mattresses are made up with twin sheets so your kids don’t totally have to share… we get it. 😉
Daybed with Trundle
This is the daybed that has a trundle that pulls out turning the twin into a King. The mattresses are made up with twin sheets and not as a King. Sleeps 2 side by side. This makes room for a 6th place to sleep.
Laundry
Washer and dryer included in the kitchen area. The detergent is under the sink. Free to use whenever you need it.
Second Floor Bathroom
The upstairs bath is newly renovated with a Shower.

Main Floor Bathroom
A newly renovated main bathroom with a mixture of some stylings from the 70s and today. New tub/shower and sink and an infrared light by the tub.
Clean and fresh.
Backyard
A nice big cedar deck with a Picnic Table and a BBQ. There is also a small fire pit too. Feel free to walk down the paths and find our other picnic spot with another picnic table and a large fire pit. It’s further away from the house.
Passamaquoddy Bay
We have access to Chamcook Harbour which connects to Passamaquoddy Bay — all part of the Bay of Fundy. You can see Bar Road when the tide is out and part of Minister’s Island. Great place for a dip or to bring your kayak.
Path to the Bay
Explore the property by following the paths. You will find a picnic area and the pigs and see the goats along your way to the bay. Access to Chamcook Harbour is just on the other side of Glebe Road.
